Acadian Immigrants to Nueva Gálvez/San Bernardo, 1785-86
Spanish reports show that in 1785-86 1 person from Le St.-Rémi, 17 families from L'Amitié, and 6 families from La Caroline chose to go to Nueva Gálvez, below New Orleans. The settlement also was called San Bernardo, which evolved into the name of the civil parish where the settlement was located. See Appendix.
