"Pelican Guards Company B (Orleans).  Captain John O'Hara.  Organized October 26, 1861, in New Orleans.  Served aboard floating battery New Orleans at Columbus, Kentucky, and Island No. 10, Tennessee.  Captured April 8, 1862, at the latter place."
