A previously unpublished tintype of Anatole Gauthier of St. Martin Parish, a member of the Orleans Guard Battalion Louisiana Infantry and 30th Louisiana Infantry, from which he went AWOL. This may have been the uniform he wore and the musket he carried at Shiloh.
